The Freemasons in Ireland: 1700s to the Present
Introduction
The Freemasons are perhaps the most secret organisation in the world today and it has a long history dating back hundreds of years. The Grand Lodge of Ireland, located in 17 Molesworth Street in Dublin was founded in the year 1725. This makes this lodge the oldest in continuous existence. Also, it is considered the second most senior Grand Lodge of Freemasons in the world. Only after The Lodge of Edinburgh, No.1 which was founded in the year 1599.

Today, there are around 550 Masonic lodges on the island of Ireland. These lodges are found in most towns and cities on the island. There are approximately 22,000 members of this organisation, with a heavy influence in Northern Ireland. This however is no surprise, considering the binding ties between Freemasonry and the Orange Order and the organisations Anglo origins which explains why Freemasonry is popular with the Protestant community.
Historical Involvement in Irish History
Michael Collins, the revolutionary Irish leader of the Irish Civil War, knew about the dark occult forces (such as the Freemasons) controlling Irish society. However, he refused to play as directed. As a result, he was shot dead in the Cork countryside in August 1922. Collins was just the latest of anti-papists who were killed or exiled. Others included in this list were Daniel O’Connell, James Connolly and Patrick Pearse. Looking into the history, it is easy to see why. There were two figures in this time period who were suspected agents of the globalist controlled British establishment. Roger Casement is suspected, as he was a Knight of the Order of St. Michael and St. George. Eamon de Valera, who would go on to become president, was a member of the Supreme Order of Christ, the highest chivalric knighthood bestowed by the Pope. Seeing as both the Catholic Church and the British establishment are heavily influenced by Freemasonry.
Prior to the start of The Troubles in August 1969, there was only one group on the island of Ireland calling itself the IRA. This group had in fact a very socialist outlook. Although they saw Protestant Unionists in Northern Ireland as the enemy, they were also very resentful towards large estate owners in the Republic. This dislike in turn led to a number of attacks being made on the properties of large estates on the west coast of Ireland. These attacks were seen as a threat to the status quo of Freemason controlled Ireland. A group of wealthy and powerful businessmen and property owners saw the need to control and oppose the actions of the IRA. As a result, the Provisional IRA was formed which was under total control of the Irish and British globalists. The Official IRA, which was the original IRA group, declared a ceasefire in 1972 and was completely disbanded.
Symbolism, Rituals and Customs
In Freemasonry, the colour blue signifies eternity and immortality. This is especially fitting, considering how long Freemasonry has been around. This colour is commonly referred to as Masonic Blue.
Symbols associated with Freemasonry include the square and compass with the letter “G” included as seen down below.
Another symbol associated with Freemasonry is The All Seeing Eye. It is generally associated with the Illuminati as well. This symbol is especially prominent on the US dollar bill since the symbol was first introduced back in 1797. This is a reference to the Founding Fathers, who were all Freemasons.
Both the colour blue and the square and compass can be associated with Masonic lodges throughout Ireland. Although the latter is more commonly found on lodges throughout the country. A good example of one lodge using both descriptions is Athlone Masonic Lodge.
The Freemasons play a heavy emphasis on raising money for charitable causes. This could include the likes of sick children or people that are homeless. Due to the secret nature of the organisation, this could be them trying to portray themselves in a positive light publicly. Or in the words of the Grand Master of the Irish Freemasons, Douglas Grey, “We are an organisation that is trying to make good men better.”
Going by this comment and considering that lodges are located in most Irish towns and cities, it would not surprise me that Freemasons (especially the lower ranks) in this country come from all walks of life. Which could include the likes of the business community, local politicians, the Gardai, judges, charity shop workers and people who work in the media.

References in the Media
The Freemasons were featured in an episode of The Simpsons. The episode, called “Homer the Great” came out in January, 1995. In it, a fictionalised version of the Freemasons is shown. However, they are given the name “Stonecutters” in this episode. Rather than presenting the organisation as a real life threat to our societies, Matt Groening presents the organisation in a satirical way.

This is typical Simpsons style, however. This is no surprise however as Groening himself is a confirmed Freemason and many events in the show have been predicted before they happened in real life. Such examples include the 9/11 attacks, Donald Trump elected as US President, the Ebola outbreak, the Horsemeat Scandal, and the introduction of smartwatches.

Freemasonry in Ireland Today
Although the public perception of Freemasonry portrays it as a secret, sometimes open organisation, this organisation holds many dark secrets.
In 2021, David Icke in an interview with Brian Rose of London Real stated that the Freemasons were present in each country in the world and that the likes of the media, politics, healthcare, education, and big business are controlled by the Freemasons in each country including Ireland.
It is widely speculated that there is an underground tunnel system between the Grand Lodge on Molesworth Street to the Dail (the Irish parliament). This underground tunnel system has been personally witnessed by members of the Defence Forces. Although it is not known what the tunnels are used for, there are several speculations of my own:
· The tunnels could be used as a simple meeting point between TD’s and members of the Grand Lodge.
· The tunnels could be used to conduct new membership ceremonies for TD’s who wish to become Freemasons. This may involve the use of blackmail so as not to break their oath of secrecy.
· The tunnels could be used to conduct Masonic rituals. Again, this may include blackmail as well.
Below is an image of what appears to be a media outlet acknowledging these secret tunnels for the first time
Nonetheless, it is important to note that the Freemasons have a serious stranglehold over Irish society. At the height of the lockdowns in Ireland, The Late Late Show broadcast an episode in early February in 2021. However, this episode was dedicated to all members of the frontline services in Ireland, who were still working during the Covid scam of that year and the year before. These frontline services consisted of members of the Gardai, Defence Forces, Fire Service and Ambulance Service. In this episode, they were invited to do the Jerusalema challenge live on air. However, what is curious about this episode is that there is Masonic/Satanic symbolism throughout.
There appears to be a Masonic pyramid symbol and a square and compass symbol as seen in the images below

In July that same year, a well known conspiracy truther by the name of Computing Forever, aka Dave Cullen, reported that his car and the outside of his house had been vandalised by what seemed to be a lone perpetrator. Masonic symbols such as the All Seeing Eye and the square and compass were part of the vandalism that happened on his property. Interestingly enough Dave was one of the first truthers to call out the Masonic symbolism on that particular episode of The Late Late Show. This combined with his wide reaching social media platforms obviously worried the Freemasons and they saw a need to send a signal to Dave. Whether it was a low rank Freemason or someone from an organisation such as Antifa who was hired by Freemasons remains unknown. Dave Cullen’s address to his attackers can be viewed in the video down below:
